CTRM’s RM3.4-Billion Multiple Aerostructure Contract Awards to Propel Malaysia’s Aerospace Industry’s Forward Momentum

YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI), was honoured to be hosted by CTRM on his official visit to Melaka. As one of the top five global suppliers of composite aerostructures, Tengku Zafrul praised CTRM’s strategic growth in his remarks. This is because Malaysia is able to meet the strict quality standards set by aircraft OEMs and MITI’s aerospace industry policies are effectively being implemented. With help from NAICO Malaysia and Malaysian Industrial Development Finance (MIDF), he formally opened CTRM’s cutting-edge manufacturing facility, “Building 6” (B6), a RM159 million investment intended to enable future contract production and outfitted with cutting-edge machinery and technology. A tour of CTRM’s other production facilities—which are crucial for producing aerostructural components—was part of the visit. Tengku Zafrul highlighted the importance NAICO Malaysia acts in coordinating measures aimed at promoting the aerospace sector and emphasised the government’s continued support for the industry, mentioning the New Investment Policy (NIP) and the Malaysia Aerospace Industry Blueprint 2030. The tour was wrapped up with a press conference when CTRM leadership discussed future plans with the media.
