CTRM Turtle Conservation Program – From Shell to Sea

On 22 August 2025, a team of 30 passionate CTRM volunteers participated in the Turtle Conservation Program – From Shell to Sea at the Turtle Conservation & Information Centre, Padang Kemunting, Melaka.

This CSR initiative reflects CTRM’s strong commitment to Sustainability Development Goals (SDG) 14: Life Below Water, focusing on the preservation of endangered marine life and the protection of Malaysia’s natural heritage.

Key activities during the program included:

Awareness briefing on turtle species, life cycle and conservation challenges

• Awareness briefing on turtle species, life cycle and conservation challenges
• Hands-on work in cleaning and maintaining the hatchery area, including nest inspections
• Collaboration with local conservation teams to support ongoing marine ecosystem protection efforts

The program not only strengthened CTRM’s sustainability agenda but also inspired employees to embrace environmental stewardship as part of our shared corporate culture.

“This initiative is about more than just volunteering, it’s about taking responsibility for the world we live in” said one of the CTRM participants.
