CTRM Leadership Conference 2025 (CLC25) – Winning Mindset, Driving Growth

Hatten Hotel, Banda Hilir, 24-25 February 2025 –  

The 13th CTRM Leadership Conference (#CLC25) kicked off 2025 with renewed energy and enthusiasm and it was a highly successful gathering of our leaders. Centered around the theme “Winning Mindset, Driving Growth,” the conference brought together six hundred CTRM leaders for a two-day event. #CLC25 focused on reviewing, sharing and reporting on both the successes and challenges of 2024, while also highlighting the key performance indicators (KPIs) established for this year. Additionally, the event aimed to create a clear plan and set targets for this entire year.

As usual, our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shamsuddin Mohamed Yusuf, began the morning with a bang! He highlighted our significant achievements for 2024 while also addressing the areas where we fell short. The combined presence of our Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chong Shiong Sing, along with the Risk, Insurance, Incentive, Integrity, Compliance & Continuity (RIC) team, showcased CTRM’s excellent financial performance for 2024 and expressed optimism for 2025.

Next on stage were the key members of our management team: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Nor Azham Baharin discussed CTRM’s operational excellence; Darwis Idrus presented invigorating strategic initiatives for CTRM’s future; and Hamdan Sanusi focused on new business developments and exciting strategies. Major divisions, including Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering and Production Planning, also had the opportunity to share their individual accomplishments and challenges.  

The second day of the event was kept alive by engaging presentations from several other divisions, including Human Capital & Administration (HCA), Facility, Equipment & Maintenance (FEM), CTRM Testing Laboratory (CTL), and Management Information Systems (MIS). The session culminated with presentations from the HICOM Management System (HMS) and Operational Excellence (OE) teams, who highlighted the top COIN performers and contributors for 2024. Additionally, a special segment was dedicated to honouring the recipients of the “Best Employee” award, which was presented to non-executive staff members on stage.

As the #CLC25 conference drew to a close, the CEO of CTRM delivered a summary address. He underscored that change is an ongoing factor in our professional landscape and encouraged participants to embrace and explore new initiatives. In his concluding remarks, he extended warm wishes for the upcoming Ramadan Mubarak.
